Well, I have since moved everything to a dedicated server in a datacenter. Maybe Randy at Fast-Serv could take a picture of the rack my computer is in. LOL
Just got my space cleaned up. But not ready to take a pic yet. Have to move a couple more things.
Yes I'm very slow at doing things. ![]()
officially has many cases of studio envy
OK... Here's my junk:

Looking in the studio door.

The main position.

The Guest microphone position.

Pile of computers. 1290 GLI is the 2 computers on the right. The silver one on top is the main computer and the one on the bottom is the back up.
Please understand there is a lot going on here. The studio isn't on line all the time and in addition to production work for the internet radio station it gets used for everything from video editing to Ham radio. All the pigs are my wife's bad joke. Ham radio. Get it? Errr...
And yes... my studio is a black hole for obsolete junk.

Been too busy gathering listeners to update much. Still, take a look at it, here on Ez's site...what you can't see is our biggest update; Windows 7 from XP lol

Thanks Oldhippe. I need something to keep me busy.

Here are a few pics of my set up. Sorta. Actual LoudCity station setup does not run thru any of the equipment you see.. In the old place I had Xmusic going thru the mixer but right now its currently in another room (Playout PC > processor > Simplecast PC)
First Photo is of the LCD/Keyboard/Mouse hooked up to a Dell laptop that I use for production, day to day activites, and to VNC/RDC into the automation PCs. (I have a PC that runs XMusic 24/7) then I have a backup PC that used to be the Main XMusic PC that is used on Monday afternoons when I do a live internet radio show on a friends station (a show that is not simlucasted on my station so I need seperate automation)

The 2nd image is my Behringer B-1 Mic and 1622FX Mixer. Currently the only thing running thru the mixer is the laptop output, the b-1 mic, and two playout feeds from the backup automation PC I use to do my live show on a friends station. This feeds a secondary encoder on my simplecast PC in the other room. I also have a mix minus wired up with the second audio output in the 2nd playout machine this allows me to use Skype to call and route thru the mixer using the B-1 as my mic with the ability to send audio down the line (drops, etc.)

The 3rd image is the two automation systems I access via VNC/RDC. Back RDC session is the automation for XMusic running (using a Dell Pc running Windows Vista Ultimate) and the Player101 setup is the backup XMusic setup (an old custom built PC 1ghz running windows XP) and is the Playout I use to do a live 3 hour show on a friends station on Monday afternoons.

So I have a pretty simple setup for now. At some point all the equipment will be in one room and I will run the XMusic feed thru the mixer before going to the processing. Current setup if the XMusic automation needs rebooted or goes off air there is silence.. with the mixer I can fire up the backup automation and limit dead air or do work on the main machine without the listeners knowing it.
@1290GLI--lovin' the all the gear amuk all the pigs.
Thanks Jessico. And nice pictures XMusic. I love seeing how everybody else is doing things. Lots of good stuff. Keep 'em coming.

Great pics xmusic....but moreso the attached verbiage . Liken the detailed scription of your setup...s'what this thread is all about!
Offshore Music Radio's main studio in upstate NY.
Rob Bayly from Bristol England came to visit the U.S. and dropped by the studio to do a live show.

Some of the equipment is old unwanted junk from stations around the area. You would be surprised what gets tossed in radio station dumpsters.
Processing rack that feed 2 servers. 2 ftp drives, the djs ftp their shows to, the drives are networked to the playout system.

Yes, I know it’s a cluttered mess.

VERY NICE!! Hey you have enough Texar Prisims. They're cool units. I have one on sort of indefinate loan from a friend of mine. And yes... you wouldn't believe what radio (and TV) stations throw out. Nice job!!

Makes me embarrassed to even post a pic of my stuff.

Some are "into" radio, and some are "in" radio. ![]()
The wonder of the Internet is that with the right software and/or hardware & skillzzz, you can have just as much of a following as those with awesome equipment. The listener will scarcely know the difference! ![]()
What I love (and hate) is that people write emails and call my toll-free no. all the time, wanting somebody to contact them as if I do this thing as a day job. They haven't a clue that it's just me, and that I work full-time doing something totally unrelated to my station.
Do ya thang, Trip. Do ya thang. Fans are fans. ![]()
I know I have yet to post a photo, it changes constantly and I never get around to it. It fills 2 rather large campers. I'm a in between guy, always loved radio, my dad was a dj and a technician, but the times change and I do internet radio, and that's not so good anymore on my part. I think I'm losing my passion for it due to finances. It was never a job, just what I loved to do.
I can put a FM signal across my state real easy, or I can just do worldwide with a pc and little software. I don't need to impress anyone and the power bill is small, but it is cool to see the stuff I know and love. The light of equipment, especially those equalizer lights, make me happy. I love it.
My apologies, but what looks cool isn't so cool in today's technology. No reason to be embarassed oldhippie.

Yeah Donna, and some of us don't have the money to buy all those fancy things, so we do with what we have. Your right the listener will scarcely know the difference. ![]()
