Finally it's straightened out. That's why I took my pop-up off the station a long time ago because it wasn't clear. Thanks John.
Might take you up on that player Bill.

OK I have my launch page html on LC, but does the pop-up player html need to be hosted on an LC server or can I host the html for the pop-up player on my own server? I ask this because of the ads I have on the web player need to be linked to my domain.

This is not a definative answer, but I believe the html for the player needs to reside on the LC server. Personally I make a simple page with the actual player code included to upload to LC and then iframe the external content hosted on my server wherever it needs to be. I set the iframe sizes to the exact dimensions I need to properly display my player page.

ALright thanks for the input, I'll wait and see if John or someone pops in, I'm basing the question off what I see hoperadio has, the webplayer launches from their LC page but the webplayer html address is coming from their server.
No worries. This subject has came up often and things change each year. What was not ok last year may be ok this year etc.
Update:
Looking at Johns post in this thread it would appear that the player can indeed be on your own server as long as it is launched from your LC custom page. At least that is how I understood it from the post.

John from Loud City Wrote:
From a LoudCity-hosted launch page with the URL visible in the browser window you may launch *ANY* player including Winamp, Windows Media, iTunes, Real Player or your own flash player /home grown in a pop-up window without the URL present.
None of the above may be launched from a station's own website, or from a LoudCity page that is hiding the URL (Address bar)
I hope this clears everything up.
1) HopeRadio's pop-up player is launching from their LoudCity-hosted launch page.
2) The URL is visible on that launch page and it is in a full browser window.
Therefore, the pop-up player is in full compliance with LoudCity's TOS
Wow, that's good news (about the actual URL of the players not having to be at LC). I had the erroneous impression that I had to host my .asx, .pls and .ram files at Loudcity. So there's a little more freedom than what I thought. ![]()
yes this is true !
Heh, we'd gone to the full page with our pro account. Then saw the post a while back from Jon and changed back to the smaller window like Hope is using. I was even worried about that but now I see we're OK.
Thanks for bringing this up!

above is the latest design with Now Playing Code:
remember i can make it popup into a javea window for ya if needed 200px X 398px
Here's a link to my popup player. I believe it meets all LC's rules. If not, John or Wildun, let me know.

player.htm
Of course it doesn't come out that size when launched from my site.

Launch It From Your Loudcity Pro Page

You need to go to a full screen page hosted on LC, then you can have a smaller pop-up like that, take a look at what I have going on on my site.

Exactly.
Listeners should arrive at LoudCity on a full web page. From there, they can launch the secondary pop-up page.

That's exactly what mine does. First you go here.

Then when you hit the popup player, it gives you this player, still with teh LC address.
