Windows Media Question

I already have an i Tunes account. That is going very well. I have searched the boards and I have probably overlooked it somewhere. When submitting my station what is the preferred method of encoding. I recently submitted the ASX file and the link was fine. But I got this back:

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Windows Media Radio Guide partner. Unfortunately, your station does not meet our Radio Guide station requirements at this time.

Sincerely,

Windows Media Radio Guide Team

I know they now require that you enter in the listener count. Which I submitted using the template from the forms. Anyhow if anyone can check my stream. Just to see if the ASX file is right. I only submitted one stream. I noticed there are MP3 streams although much fewer than WMA on Windows Tuner.Could it be the MP3? Any help would be much appreciated.I just want to find out what I might be doing wrong. Here is the ASX file:

How much do you love your station?

Startup Needs advice

Hello,

I used to do minor admin work at an old Shoutcast station. Decided to branch off and start my own... I have a dedicated *nix server (from a hosting company) that I am using.

Our plan is to offer several "stations" of content. Each station will have 2 streams; one free and one subscription based (low and high bit rate).

Questions are; Shoutcast or Icecast? If Shoutcast, how do I get the music to the stream (sc_serv)? is that what sc_trans is for? Does one offer better "authorization" for subscriptions over the other?

Thanks much in advance!

Would it be possible to move the custom content link "New" to the top of the page rather than have it at the bottom?

When I delete my custom page to upload a revised one, I have to scroll to the bottom of the refreshed page to add (or "Create") the revised page in my LC web space.

It's cumbersome to keep scrolling to the bottom if I have several updates (as I catch typos & such) and have to keep uploading a revised page.

Thanks.

Phantom Listeners?

The other night, I forgot to put the protective cover over my console, and sure enough, the cat used it as a launching pad to get up onto the window sill.

Anyways, she keyed the pot and my station went dead. Automation software was still running, audio was basically muted.

My question is this: once I found out the station was muted, I immediately checked my RadioToolbox log to see when exactly this "accident" took place. Unfortunately, it had been approximately 2 hours.

With that being said, the log also showed something... why on EARTH would I have 20-25 listeners tuned into DEAD AIR for two hours? I honestly hope I don't have 20 to 25 streamrippers out there.

Any ideas on why this would happen? Is my stream host providing me with false listeners to eventually "bump" me into their next package??

Hi folks! Have any of you had this problem?

Somewhere between 64-72 hours of uptime on SPL, my audio output begins to skip and stutter. I have to shut down and restart my PC in order to clear it up. The audio engine is set to high priority.

Other specs you may need to know:
CPU: Pentium Dual Core, 2 gigahertz. Hyperthreading is off, per suggestions I read from someone with a similar problem.
Sound Card: SB Audigy

I'll cross-post this to the Yahoo group also. Anyone here have any suggestions?

New Topic, Different

I apologize for the unusual topic and the subject matter, I just think the public needs to know. Unfair laws are being applied not just to everyday citizens, but also to children. I can take some things, some I can't.
I'm no stranger to sex and law, I'm old .. lol.

To make sex illegal seems like something I can't agree with. I was a teen. I did what nature said I should do. Now people are being put on a registry for life for the same thing. Being on that registry marks you for life. The youngest being 6 years old. Yup, I am scared of that kid! Where in the hell did we lose touch with reality? I am and will make noise. I refuse to take it sitting down.

If anyone does not want the topic, tell the admins and I will refrain.
